SMC joins the Artelia Group, consolidating SMC’s position as the foremost maritime consultant based in Thailand, and Artelia’s standing as a world leader in the Engineering and Project Management of maritime, ports and specialised marine terminals
We are pleased to announce that Artelia has acquired SMC Consulting Engineers. Artelia is one of the top 10 leading maritime engineering companies on the
international scene and a leading player in the building, infrastructure and industry sectors. By joining the Artelia group, SMC is thus extending its expertise and resources, adding to its long-standing activities in port and coastal
engineering.
Through this new venture, Artelia and SMC demonstrate their intention:
to develop the port and maritime activity of the group in the Asia-Pacific region, including Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Cambodia, Malaysia and Australia, where Artelia Group is already operating with permanent offices and subsidiaries
to reinforce the worldwide expertise and resources of the group in maritime and port engineering
to grow our activity in Thailand, adding to the strengths and capabilities of the Artelia Thailand staff established in Bangkok with the skills and expertise in the design of complex infrastructures brought by SMC.
This strategic merger is driven by strong synergies, in order to meet the pressing and growing industry expectations of the Asia-Pacific region.
