CIVIL / STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

Essential minimum requirements and qualifications:

Master’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
2+ years experience
Varied experience in civil engineering design, preferably with experience in marine projects
Valid Thai Engineering License
Good English, both spoken and written
Willingness to work in multi-national environment
Be mature, serious, dynamic and with a sense of taking initiatives

Responsible for:

SMC Consulting Engineer is looking for a talented civil and/or structural Engineer to join our current permanent team in Bangkok and support our company in delivering project assignments in Thailand and Asia-Pacific.
The job responsibilities shall include:

Structural and foundation design of concrete and steel structures, including marine structures such as quay walls, marine piled jetties, wharves, bridges, … and preparing design reports and calculation notes, as required by our projects.
Coordinating and checking the drawings prepared by the CAD team.
Assisting the Project Manager in managing the project, including participation to progress meetings with the client.
Occasional missions on site for inspection / supervision of works

MARINE & COASTAL SENIOR ENGINEER

Essential minimum requirements and qualifications:

Master’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
15+ years of experience
Strong background and varied experience in marine or coastal projects, preferably for an engineering and consultancy firm
Good English, both spoken and written
Willingness to work in multi-national environment
Be mature, serious, dynamic and with a sense of taking initiatives

Responsible for:

SMC Consulting Engineer is looking for a senior marine and coastal Engineer to join our current permanent team in Bangkok and support our company in delivering project assignments in Thailand and Asia-Pacific.
The job responsibilities shall include:

Project management of marine and coastal projects of various sizes; our projects involve engineering, design and construction supervision for Oil & Gas marine piled jetties, dredging and reclamation, marine structures such as quay walls, breakwaters, shore protection, container yards, …etc

Being the technical Lead of the project: participate to the preparation of Project’s deliverables; monitor, coordinate and check the design done by more junior engineers in the team; coordinate and check the drawings prepared by the CAD team; …
Being the focal point of contact of our client for his project: lead progress meetings, manage resources in liaison with the Company Director, ensure client’s satisfaction and project delivery on time and on budget.

Occasional missions on site for inspection / supervision of works
Assistance to the Company Director for Business Development, including preparation of technical and commercial proposals and contract negotiations.
