This was the first purpose-built indoor athletics stadium in Thailand, and was commissioned by the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) in preparation to host the 1st Asian Indoor Games in 2005.
Also designed as a multi-function hall the venue can accommodate a 6-lane running track and facilities for other track and field events for the games as well as seating for 10,000 spectators. The scheme involved a structural steel roof of 76m clear span and we undertook the structural and civil engineering design for this project.
